Hosted once again in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC on Friday and Saturday, August 8 and 9, 2014.

We are so excited to invite you to join us for the fourth annual Becoming Conference.

Becoming 2014 is a weekend designed to encourage and inspire women to live intentionally by becoming more creative, purposeful, and frugal. As women, many of us desire to be more intentional with our time and financial resources; more intentional with our family and homes, but aren’t sure how to make that happen.

As we gather from all walks of life, we will tackle some of those day to day issues that typically seem mundane and give you a sense of magic. Our desire is that you will leave, not only refreshed, but encouraged, empowered, and motivated with the practical and tangible ideas you have received.

From personal finance, meal planning, hospitality, fashion, home decor, trash to treasure, and more, Becoming 2014 will revolutionize the way we think, not just about our finances, but our homes.

If it comes to creating, repurposing or being intentional with our money, time and energy, we want to cover it.

As we are bring together a number of talented bloggers, all who are passionate in their areas of expertise, they will instruct and inspire you on a number of topics.

With both large groups and smaller, interactive workshops, we want to ensure that you leave empowered with tools to enrich your life.

Since managing money wisely is so important to both of us, we have kept the cost of the conference as low as you will find anywhere.

The cost of the conference averages anywhere from only $80 – $110 per person, but this is based on reserving a room with a friend at a double occupancy rate. This price varies depending on your choice of room accommodations (see the price breakdown per room.)

This includes everything, except for the optional Hands on, Pre-conference workshops. (See those details here.)

Included in this price is your conference fee, dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, as well as your hotel for Friday evening – not to mention all the additional goodies we have in store from our sponsors.

If you can’t make it by Friday evening, please come for Saturday only, at a cost of $62, which includes the conference sessions, Saturday lunch and gift bags. Local attendees may also purchase this pass to include Friday evening, but dinner is not included.

Registration Details and Breakdown of Prices

We look forward to seeing many of you this August 8,9, 2014.

Tickets are now available.

For those planning their travels, registration begins at 2:00 on Friday, with rooms being available at 3:00. If you are attending any optional workshops, you will be able to register as early as noon,  so you are ready for your workshops.

Friday evening begins with dinner, at 5:30. Our main session begins at 6:30 pm and once that concludes, we will have one breakout session Friday night before the girls night in event.  The fun runs  solid through Saturday until 6:00 pm.

  • You will need the name, mailing address, telephone number and email address of everyone staying in your room.
  • You will be asked to pay a $50 deposit per person at registration. You are more than welcome to pay the full amount per person, which will speed up check-in that day.
  • Local Rate attendees for those who do not need accommodations ($58.00) still need to register to reserve your ticket. This price includes conference and lunch on Sat.

**If you do not know all of your roommates yet, you can still reserve a room, just make sure you call back and add your roommates as you know them.

Please note that prices reflect one person paying for the entire room.

** All Conference Breakout Sessions are Included. There are a few optional Hands On workshops which are in addition to the conference fees and they will be announced at the end of May.**

Below is the estimated cost breakdown of the conference.

These costs are Per Person based on accommodation choices. The rooms are first come, first serve.

These prices include the conference, three meals and one evening of accommodations. An additional evening is a available at a greatly discounted rate.

Please know that accommodations vary greatly. We want you to be completely aware of the rooms you are receiving. You may view the accommodation choices at the Ridgecrest site. Please view before registration to see all the specifics on each room.

The Royal Gorge Youth rooms are the only accommodations that sleep 7 or 8, and perfect for those that want an incredibly frugal weekend with a bunch of girls. They house 3 sets of bunk beds and one queen bed, so absolutely no bells and whistles at all, but this is the ultimate slumber party with its own porch and rockers.

We will keep you hopping on Saturday, so many people chose to make this a full weekend. We have received an amazing price for optional extra evening stays. You may choose to stay Thursday and/or Saturday evening at an additional cost of only $62/per room (then that is split with your roommates).

Room spaces are limited, so please know that you may not receive your first choice, and may need to be flexible.

As you browse the choices, the Deluxe Rooms Per Person Conference Rate are for the Mountain Laural accommodations.

Standard Rooms: Per Person Conference rates – Pritchell, Maple, Royal Gorge Apartments, Royal Gorge Youth Rooms, Walnut.
